Trademark Services
What you built deserves to be yours.
Attorney-led trademark clearance, federal registration, and strategic counsel — from the first question to the registration certificate.
01 · Creation
Build It.
You saw something that could exist and did something about it.
You started the business. Developed the product. Created the service. Opened the doors. Built the audience.
You invested your time, money, thought, and reputation into creating something of your own.
02 · Identity
Brand It.
What you built developed an identity.
A name. A logo. A phrase. Something your customers recognize and associate with what you provide.
As the business grows, that identity can become one of its most valuable assets.
That’s your brand.
03 · Ownership
Own It?
You built it. You branded it. But do you own it?
Building a business around a name doesn’t necessarily mean you have the right to keep using it.
Forming an LLC, registering a domain name, creating social-media accounts, or designing a logo does not answer the trademark question.
Bell helps determine whether the brand you’re building can be protected — and, when appropriate, helps you secure those rights through federal trademark registration.

How Bell Works
Five steps. No guessing.
-
01
Tell Us What You’re Building.
Complete Bell’s intake questionnaire so we can understand you, your brand, what you’re offering, and where you are in the process.
After completing the questionnaire, you may request an optional 15-minute video meeting with Michael J. Bell, Esq. to clarify your goals, address preliminary engagement questions, and determine whether Bell is the right fit.
The intake meeting does not include trademark clearance, availability opinions, or substantive legal analysis.

02
We Do the Homework.
Before recommending that you invest in a federal trademark application, Bell researches the mark and evaluates potential risks.
You receive a Bell Trademark Assessment explaining: what we found, what it means, and what we recommend.
-
03
You Decide.
Bell may recommend that you proceed, proceed with caution, or reconsider.
Good counsel doesn’t mean telling you what you hoped to hear.
Bell informs. Bell demonstrates. You decide.
-
04
We Make It Official.
When you decide to proceed, Bell prepares your federal trademark application.
You’ll review the important application information before filing. Once approved, Bell collects the applicable government filing fee and submits the application to the USPTO.
Bell then monitors the application and communicates material developments as it moves through the registration process.
-
05
It’s Yours. Keep It That Way.
When registration issues, you’ll receive your registration certificate along with the Bell Ownership Brief explaining important considerations for using, maintaining, and protecting your trademark.
You may also request an optional 15-minute video registration review.
